Mar 12, 2026, Amsterdam, Netherlands — GoodWe hosted an official product launch during Solar Solutions Amsterdam Exhibition, rolling out its brand-new ESA all-in-one residential energy storage system. Certified by TÜV Rheinland as the world’s first Grade A low-noise home battery unit, the new product effectively solves the long-standing noise issue of household storage equipment and consolidates GoodWe’s dominant share across Europe’s residential storage sector.
Designed under the core 4S principle: Silent, Smart, Secure and Simple, the ESA series runs at an ultra-low noise floor of only 30dB, equipped with customized mute cooling fans, real-time operating-condition noise reduction algorithms and user-activated super-silent mode, perfectly fitting European villas and apartment living environments. This integrated solution embeds hybrid inverter, LFP battery modules and AI-powered energy management system with streamlined installation procedures. It automatically adapts to time-of-use electricity tariffs of most European nations to optimize self-consumption of rooftop PV power, store surplus solar energy and cut household power bills during high-price peak hours. In addition, the system is compatible with EU virtual power plant (VPP) frameworks, enabling homeowners to gain extra revenue by providing grid auxiliary services.
Max Zhou, Regional Director of GoodWe Europe, stated at the launch that surging natural gas prices and phasing-out of traditional solar net metering policies across Europe have driven explosive growth of residential battery deployment. Over 80% of newly installed rooftop PV systems in Germany come paired with home storage; the Netherlands will scrap its net metering scheme entirely in 2027, turning residential energy storage from optional add-on into a household necessity. The ESA product line has been officially available for sales in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France starting from March 2026.
Global industry statistics indicate global residential energy storage shipment hit 20.67GWh in Q1 2026, a year-on-year spike of 392.2%, with Europe standing as the world’s top growth hub. Chinese storage manufacturers keep expanding their market footprint in Europe against local brands thanks to advanced technology and cost competitiveness。
